Aonghas Grant, the left-handed fiddle player
of Lochaber, entranced a packed Glenuig Hall in November 2015 with
his stories and tunes. Internationally renowned for his unique style,
Aonghas still teaches young people to play the fiddle - their final
and coveted reward being the red favour they display on the scroll
of their fiddle.
Aonghas is a Gaelic speaker and a natural-born storyteller, bringing
tales of close friends and long-ago people and events equally alive.
We recorded the two-hour session and present it here on two audio
CDs - a unique and atmospheric record of a man who is admired and
respected throughout the world of Scottish music.
